HONOR unveiled the HONOR Robot Phone during its MWC 2026 keynote. Dubbed “a new species of smartphone” by the company.
This futuristic device fuses embodied artificial intelligence, robot-grade physical movement, and professional-grade cinematic imaging into a single handheld form factor.
The star of the show is the industry’s smallest 4DoF (four degrees of freedom) gimbal system, shrinking motor size by 70% to fit inside a slim phone body.
A motorized camera arm pops out from the rear, made with titanium alloy for durability, housing a powerful 200MP main sensor. This setup delivers three-axis mechanical stabilization, rivaling dedicated gimbals like DJI’s Osmo series—but pocket-sized.

Key camera features include:
– 200MP main sensor for ultra-high-resolution photos and video
– Industry’s smallest 4DoF gimbal with robot-grade motion control
– Three-axis mechanical stabilization combined with AI-enhanced engine for rock-steady footage
– AI Spinshot for smooth cinematic orbiting and panning shots
– Real-time object tracking and all-angle following
– Hands-free vlogging, dynamic video calls, and emotion-aware framing
Powered by HONOR’s YOYO AI and multi-modal intelligence, the Robot Phone brings “embodied AI interaction” to life. It responds to voice and gestures with physical motions, making conversations feel more natural.

The device supports 360° tracking during video calls and can follow users around a room autonomously—blurring lines between gadget and companion.
HONOR positions this as part of its Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) vision: technology that enhances human creativity with motion and spatial awareness, not just screens and voice.
The Robot Phone pairs intriguingly with HONOR’s separate AI humanoid robot prototype, shown dancing in sync at the event.

While full specs remain limited—no confirmed processor, display size, battery capacity (though it uses advanced silicon-carbon anode tech), or pricing—early coverage highlights its potential for content creators tired of external stabilizers. Media outlets awarded it multiple “Best in Show” nods alongside the HONOR Magic V6 foldable.
HONOR Robot Phone availability
HONOR confirmed commercial availability in the second half of 2026, starting in China with possible global expansion later. As one reviewer noted, it’s “wild, weird—and it actually works.”
